MIIS Signs MOU for Academic Cooperation with Premier Russian University

Cooperation in Nonproliferation Studies Proposed

The Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on academic exchange and cooperation with Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) University and the PIR Center in Russia.

The three parties signed the MOU at a ceremony on October 25, 2014. As part of their cooperation, they are seeking to develop a dual degree program between the M.A. in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies (NPTS) at MIIS and a Weapons of Mass Destruction Nonproliferation curriculum at MGIMO. The dual degree in nonproliferation will include faculty drawn from researchers affiliated with the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) at MIIS and the PIR Center in Moscow.
